Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, this innovative method uses correct alignment, centering, concentration, precision, breathing, and flowing movements to establish a perfect workout for any body type or fitness level. 

With hundreds of exercises performed on mats or machines, pilate classes build strength,flexibility, and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine, rather than on bulking and shortening the muscles.
